日本人の配偶者等 is a status of residence that lets a foreign national who is the spouse of a Japanese national live in Japan. Once you hold it, there is no restriction on the kind of work you do: you can take any job, from part-time work to a full-time position, and you can also use social security such as health insurance and pensions. If you meet certain conditions, you can also apply for permanent residence.

    The application is made with the certificate in hand.
